Report: £10m Newcastle player likely to leave the club

Report: £10m Newcastle player likely to leave the club – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Matt Richie could be on his way out of Newcastle United during the summer transfer window.
Last week, The Chronicle reported that Newcastle could be willing to offload midfielder Jonjo Shelvey for £20 million, with West Ham keen to sign him.
The latest report from The Mirror suggests that the Magpies are open to selling their wide-man for around £10 million.
Ritchie has been an important player for Rafael Benitez’s side. He is a versatile player and spent much of the campaign playing as a left-back in the absence of Paul Dummett.
However, it appears that there is now a serious question mark over his future at Tyneside.
The 29-year-old feels that he deserves one big contract in his career, and is looking to get a pay rise. However, Newcastle may have other ideas.
The Magpies are likely to allow him to leave the club in the summer, but Benitez is not pushing him through the exit door as of yet.

'Total shite', 'Not good enough' – Some Leeds fans tear into 25-yr-old despite 3-2 win

'Total shite', 'Not good enough' – Some Leeds fans tear into 25-yr-old despite 3-2 win – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Leeds United edged a thriller against Millwall yesterday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side were in desperate need of the win and they managed to grind out a 3-2 victory in the end.
Pablo Hernandez’s brace sealed a much-needed win for the Whites.
Leeds needed to win to stay in touch with the title race and Bielsa will be delighted to see that his players have delivered.
Despite the win, the fans weren’t too pleased with some of the below-par displays from the players.
Patrick Bamford, in particular, lacked sharpness and he tried to do too much at times.
The 25-year-old striker seemed off pace from the start and his first-half penalty miss could have been really costly for the Whites.
With Roofe coming in from injury, Bamford will have to do better in order to keep his place in the starting lineup for the upcoming games.
Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the attacker and here are some of the fan reactions from earlier.

@Patrick_Bamford Total shite. Thank goodness Roofe is back next week
— Rother Jay (@rother_jay) March 30, 2019

Didn’t think Patrick Bamford had one of his best games for Leeds today, should certainly be worried about keeping his place in the team next game with Kemar Roofe back from injury #lufc #mot
— Ryan (@LeedsUtdRyan) March 30, 2019

Is it me, or does it feel like Patrick bamford has been told he won’t get a game in the premier league #LUFC
— Liam (@liamhall86) March 30, 2019

Patrick Bamford though. He said he wanted to be the number one striker at a club & he’s been given a huge opportunity to prove he’s good enough. Has to use this absolute dog of a performance to push himself to greater heights because today was simply not good enough. #lufc
— Tommy (@tommy_lufc) March 30, 2019

@Patrick_Bamford Gotta say fellow, please keep it simple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
— A.Miller (@AJMilly) March 30, 2019

I am trying my hardest to like Patrick Bamford, I really am. He, for me, could be the difference between us and automatic promotion this year. #LUFC

Report: Everton in the hunt to sign 27-year-old in-form player, face competition from West Ham

Report: Everton in the hunt to sign 27-year-old in-form player, face competition from West Ham – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to reports from The Sun, Everton have joined Chelsea, Leicester City and West Ham in the race to sign Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson this summer.
One of the areas where the Toffees would be hoping to bolster in the summer is the strike department. They are looking to bring in a new striker ahead of next season, and have targeted Wilson.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has performed well under Marco Silva this season. However, both Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse have been disappointing and are set to leave the club.
The report now claims that Everton are eyeing a move for the Bournemouth striker to solve their issues. With West Ham and Leicester also in the hunt, Everton will have to pull off a real coup to lure him to Goodison Park.
The 27-year-old has scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 24 Premier League games this season. He would allegedly cost around £40 million for any club, and it remains to be seen whether the Toffees pay that sum for him.

Aston Villa midfielder impressed the fans with his hard-working display against Blackburn yesterday.
The 24-year-old has been a very good signing for Aston Villa this season and he produced yet another impressive showing for Dean Smith’s side in a vital game.
Aston Villa ended up winning 2-1 and they are now 5th in the table.
It will be interesting to see if they can secure promotion to the Premier League now.
McGinn was ever present for Smith’s side yesterday and his drive from midfield helped his side move up the pitch and create chances.
Also, he did very well to shield his teammates at the back with his defensive contributions.
McGinn’s desire and commitment throughout the game impressed the fans a lot. Even in the 95th minute, the midfielder ran the length of the pitch with the ball just to keep possession and help his side win the game.
Here is how some of the Aston Villa fans reacted to the tireless midfielder’s display.

John McGinn is unreal

So sat up Villa Park yesterday and I’m thinking John McGINN is the best midfielder we have had since David Platt in the late 80’s? For me Platt was second only to Paul McGrath in best Ever so he’s doing ok!

'What a God we have' – Some fans drool over Leeds 'saviour' after latest display

'What a God we have' – Some fans drool over Leeds 'saviour' after latest display – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Leeds United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to express their reaction to Pablo Hernandez’s performance after the Spaniard produced yet another fantastic display for the Whites.
The Spaniard produced yet another spectacular performance as Leeds moved to second in the Championship table after winning against Millwall on Saturday.
The Whites twice came from behind to seal a 3-2 victory, and kept their hopes of automatic promotion to the Premier League alive.
Earlier this week, Leeds fans were left puzzled when EFL omitted Hernandez from the Team of the Year.
Ben Thompson scored the opening goal on 10 minutes and a Ben Marshall penalty twice put Millwall ahead. However, they were pegged back by a goal from Hernandez and a fine header from Luke Ayling.
Hernandez scored again with seven minutes left ensuring Patrick Bamford’s first-half penalty miss did not prove costly.
Hernandez has been one of the top players for Leeds, and has taken his goal tally to 12 this season for the Whites.
Here are some of the best reactions from the Leeds fans on Twitter:

Let’s just give Pablo Hernandez his player of the year award now along with the key to the city and a statue outside the ground!! What a guy, what a saviour, what a God we have!! @LUFC

Report: West Ham in the hunt to sign 28 y/o defender on free transfer, player could move

Report: West Ham in the hunt to sign 28 y/o defender on free transfer, player could move – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to reports from The Sun on Sunday (31/3; page 59), West Ham are interested in signing Brazilian defender Rafael in the summer transfer window.
The former Manchester United defender currently plays for Lyon, and the Hammers are looking to sign him on a free transfer with his contract set to expire in the summer.
Although the Hammers have done reasonably well this season, Manuel Pellegrini needs to bolster his squad in the summer if they hope to progress further.
One of the areas where the Hammers may look to invest is the right-back role. Pablo Zabaleta is into the twilight of his career, and Pellegrini may need his long term replacement. Ryan Fredericks has shown glimpses of his potential but he has taken time to adapt to life in the Premier League.
The report adds that the 28-year-old would ‘welcome’ the chance to move to the Premier League if there is any concrete approach for him.
Rafael has loads of Premier League experience, and while he may not represent a marquee signing, it will still be considered as a decent piece of business given that he would arrive on a free transfer.

Andre Gomes produced a midfield masterclass against West Ham yesterday.
The Portuguese ace helped his side win the game 2-0 and even the rival fans can’t help but admire him.
Zouma and Bernard scored the goals but Gomes stole the limelight with his charismatic display.
West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to share their admiration for the on-loan Barcelona playmaker after the game.
Gomes ran the show at the heart of Everton’s midfield and he was the best player on the pitch by some distance.
The Everton fans are already in awe of his quality and yesterday’s performance will only cement their belief that the club needs to sign him permanently in the summer.
Marco Silva’s men played some top quality football against the Hammers and Andre Gomes was the key to that.
Here is what the West Ham United fans had to say about the midfielder after yesterday’s defeat. The player will be delighted with all the praise coming his way.

Andre Gomes best CM I’ve seen play at our place this season for the opposite team. Mans not human.
— West Ham Transfers (@westhamtransfer) March 30, 2019

Why isn’t Andre Gomes in the debate for best player outside the top 6? The mans class
— Joe Williams (@JoeWilliams_07) March 30, 2019

Full credit to Everton, streaks ahead of us from start to finish. I’d be annoyed being them the fact they’ve only scored 2, should and could have been double figures.
Andre Gomes, best player on the pitch by a country mile.
Great away support as well.
— Nick Marsh (@MarshyBoy26) March 30, 2019

He played well, it was a stroll for him, like a training ground game for Everton, we were absolute shite !
— Martin G (@MartinGWHU66) March 31, 2019

Gomes did well today but if he stays at Everton I think like Felipe Anderson blowing hot & cold, 2nd season should be better after getting to know what the Prem is all about

Aston Villa picked up another vital win in the Championship yesterday.
Dean Smith’s men beat Blackburn 2-1 thanks to goals from Tyrone Mings and Tammy Abraham.
The Championship side are in great form right now and they have managed to win five league games in a row. Villa are now up to fifth in the table and it looked impossible a few weeks ago.
It will be interesting to see if they can build on this and finish the season strongly. They have certainly got a chance of making it to the Premier League.
The fans were thoroughly impressed with Tyrone Mings’ performance against Blackburn and when the player sent out a social media post after the game, several Villa fans responded to it urging him to stay beyond this summer.

West Ham crashed to a 2-0 defeat at home to Everton yesterday.
Goals from Kurt Zouma and Bernard secured a vital win for the visitors.
Manuel Pellegrini will be thoroughly disappointed with his side’s performance in an important game and it will be interesting to see how the Hammers react in their next game.
West Ham have had a poor season by their standards and after the summer outlay the fans will be expecting a lot more.
There were quite a few poor performances from the home side yesterday but Pedro Obiang’s below par showing left the fans frustrated.
Pellegrini’s decision to play him was questioned during the game and the 27-yr-old midfielder did nothing to justify his selection.
He will have to do a lot better if he wants to start for the Londoners in future.
West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the player’s performance and here are some of the reactions from earlier.

I’m gonna throw this out there. Forget Boogers, Obiang is the WORST player to ever grace a west ham shirt. He has not football brain whatsoever, no physicality, no vision. He is the reason we are losing
— Will Bellew ⚒️ (@W_Bellew) March 30, 2019

Noble holds that midfield together don’t give a fuck what anyone says when he don’t play there is no midfield! Obiang is horrendous I don’t get it

– Picks Snodgrass over Antonio when the latter has been in good form lately
