The Toffees are looking to bolster their attacking options this summer with manager Marco Silva aiming to secure European football next season, and the 23-year-old has been on their radar.
Traore struggled to break into the Chelsea first-team during four years at the London club, playing just 10 Premier League games in the 2015-16 campaign having spent two seasons on loan at Eredivisie side Vitesse.
The 23-year-old spent the following season on loan at Ajax before finally leaving Chelsea for good in the summer of 2017.
Traore has since scored 20 league goals in 64 games for Lyon, and a return to the English top-flight could be on the cards this summer.
Everton already boast of Brazilian forward Richarlison on one of the wings, and adding the Burkina Faso international to the other will make them more dangerous in the attacking third.
Director of Football Marcel Brands will be keen to get a deal for Traore over the line, and Blues’ fans will surely be excited if a deal works out.

'Grab him quick' – Some Leeds fans want the club to sign experienced ace this summer

'Grab him quick' – Some Leeds fans want the club to sign experienced ace this summer – originally posted on Sportslens.com

West Ham have recently confirmed the release of goalkeeper Adrian.
The experienced shot-stopper is a free agent now and some of the Leeds fans believe that the club should sign him.
After Kiko Casilla’s shocker against Derby County, the fans seem to have lost some faith in the former Real Madrid man.
It will be interesting to see if Marcelo Bielsa moves for another keeper this summer.
If they do, Adrian could be a solid addition. The Spaniard is an impressive shot-stopper who can make a difference for Leeds in the Championship.
Furthermore, he has a lot of experience and he could help the dressing room on and off the pitch.
The 32-year-old has played over a 100 games for West Ham in the Premier League.
Leeds need to add to their squad this summer and bringing in someone like Adrian will free up the funds for other players.
On a free transfer, this should be a no brainer for Bielsa and Leeds United.
Some of the Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the player and here are some of the reactions.

Adrian would be great

Opinion: Rangers must sign 6ft 3in star some of their fans are excited about

Opinion: Rangers must sign 6ft 3in star some of their fans are excited about – originally posted on Sportslens.com

West Ham have recently released Andy Carroll after another disappointing season.
It will be interesting to see how the former England international resurrects his career now.
Carroll’s career has been plagued with injuries but he is still a very useful player in the right team.
Although it would be surprising to see him in the Premier League next season, he could certainly make a difference in the Championship or the Scottish League.
A move to Rangers could be ideal for the target man. If he can stay fit, he could be the man to take Steven Gerrard’s side to glory next season.
On his day, Carroll has shown that he is unplayable. Steven Gerrard could do with an intimidating presence up front.
Rangers ace Morelos has been linked with a move away from Ibrox and if he leaves, Carroll could prove to be a good short term addition.
Furthermore, the 6ft 3ins striker will be a free agent and the signing would allow Gerrard to invest his funds in the other areas of the squad.
Rangers must do everything in their power to bring him in.
Some of the Rangers fans seem quite excited about the prospect of Carroll playing for them and they have urged the club to sign him this summer.
Here are some of the reactions.

I think he’d be decent for us but he’s so injury prone he’d barely be fit to play

Report: Everton contact La Liga player's agency, would be a surprising signing

Report: Everton contact La Liga player's agency, would be a surprising signing – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Everton are reportedly interested in the Dutch goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen.
The 30-year-old shot stopper wants a new challenge and a move to the Premier League could be ideal for him.
According to A Bola (translated by SportWitness), the Toffees have already contacted the agency that manages Cillessen.
It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal over the line.
Cillessen is a squad player at Barcelona and therefore the Spanish giants are likely to sanction a sale if the offer is reasonable.
However, Cillessen’s role at Everton is unclear. The Toffees have England international Jordan Pickford as their number one keeper and they recently signed Lossl on a free transfer as Pickford’s back up.
The Dutchman will not want to sit on the bench at another club and Everton will have to give him first-team chances if they want to sign him.
It will be interesting to see what happens if the move goes through this summer.
Pickford made a few costly mistakes this past season but replacing him as a starter seems surprising. The Everton keeper is still very young and he is likely to learn from the errors and improve.
Cillessen is a good player but a move to Everton would be very surprising this summer.

Aston Villa want 29-yr-old, some fans react: 'Need some experience', 'Good passer'

Aston Villa want 29-yr-old, some fans react: 'Need some experience', 'Good passer' – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Aston Villa are interested in signing the Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter this summer.
According to the Irish Independent, the 29-year-old will be made available as the Cherries want him to seal a permanent move away.
The player is apparently keen on the exit as well and Bournemouth will let him leave for a reasonable fee.
Arter had a good season with Cardiff City on loan and he could prove to be a quality signing for Aston Villa next season.
If Dean Smith manages to sign him on a bargain this summer, it would allow him to invest his funds in the other areas of the squad.
Aston Villa need to add more depth to the side in order to cope with the challenges of Premier League football.
Arter has the quality and the experience of Premier League. He would be an ideal addition for them.
Furthermore, the player is thought to be interested in remaining in the Premier League next season. Therefore, Villa might have an edge over the other suitors.
Fulham and Stoke are keen on the player as well.
Here is how some of the Aston Villa fans have reacted to the links with Harry Arter.

We need back up to Conor John and jack whatever Dean wants
— Peter Lockley (@lockleyps3) May 30, 2019

Agreed. He’s a good passer so could slot into Deano’s system.

Everton set to open talks for £36.5m attacker, some fans react: 'Get him', 'Yes please'

Everton set to open talks for £36.5m attacker, some fans react: 'Get him', 'Yes please' – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Everton are interested in signing the Brazilian attacker Malcom this summer.
We covered a report from Sport earlier that the Toffees are planning to start talks with the Catalan giants regarding the attacker next week.
Malcom isn’t a regular starter at Barcelona and the Spanish giants might accept a reasonable offer for him. He played just 22 games in all competitions for Barcelona this past season.
It will be interesting to see if the Premier League side manage to land him this summer. Barcelona paid £36.5m for him last summer and they might have to take a loss in order to sell him permanently.
They have a good rapport with the Barcelona hierarchy after dealing with them multiple times last summer. Gomes, Digne and Mina were all brought in from the Spanish club.
Malcom is a talented player who needs to play week in week out in order to continue his development. At Everton, he could get that chance.
Marco Silva needs a quality wide player like him and he will improve Everton going forward.
Furthermore, his compatriots Richarlison and Bernard could help him settle in England as well. His arrival would complete Silva’s front three for the next season.
Here is how some of the Everton fans have reacted to the links with the Brazilian attacker.

Love the idea of Bernard and Malcolm in the same side. Just need a Trevor, Ralph and Colin to go with them.
— Graham Woodhouse (@yankface1) May 30, 2019

Take him on loan. Makes complete sense. If we’ve put money aside for both Gomes & Zouma, then I’d imagine it will be the majority of our kitty so take him on loan to see how he gets on. Then after sales, get a striker…

'Smart bit of business' – some Aston Villa fans react to links with £100k-a-week man

'Smart bit of business' – some Aston Villa fans react to links with £100k-a-week man – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Aston Villa are interested in signing Gary Cahill on a free transfer this summer as per the Sun.
The 33-year-old defender could be a useful addition to Dean Smith’s side. His leadership and his experience could be valuable to the side next season.
Aston Villa are back in the Premier League and they will be aware of the challenges ahead of them.
Cahill is a seasoned Premier League player who can help the dressing room on and off the pitch. Also, the fact that he is available for a free makes the transfer a no brainer.
Furthermore, Aston Villa need to add more depth to their defence and signing Cahill will allow them to invest the funds elsewhere.
It will be interesting to see if the newly promoted side manages to get the deal over the line.
Having said that, Cahill earns around £100,000-a-week at Chelsea and he might have to lower his demands for the move to go through.
Gary Cahill has played with the current Aston Villa coach John Terry at Chelsea and the fans will be hoping that Terry can help convince the defender to join the club.
Here is how some of the Aston Villa fans have reacted to the links with Gary Cahill earlier.

Haven’t seen him play for quite a while. He maybe a good CB but not sure we can afford his wages. Plus a free is not a free. By the time you add in agent fees, signing bonus and appearances and other add ons, it soon adds up. Nice guy and one of our own.

Report: Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette spotted in Barcelona

Report: Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette spotted in Barcelona – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to Sport, Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette was spotted in Catalan capital Barcelona today, and while he is presumably on holiday, his presence in Spain will no spark a lot of rumours concerning his future.
The Camp Nou outfit have been linked with a summer transfer interest in the France international, and with their search for a striker set to intensify in the coming weeks, a move for Lacazette cannot be ruled out.
The 28-year-old scored 19 goals and assisted 10 others in 47 games across all competitions for Arsenal this season, and could be tempted to join Barcelona if an offer is brought to the table.
The Catalans want a replacement for 32-year-old Luis Suarez, and with Champions League football and domestic silverware constantly available at Camp Nou, it’s hard for their top targets to turn them down.
Lacazette has three years left on his current deal and given the constant snubs he keeps getting from the national side, one more season in the Europa League won’t do his chances of playing at the Euros 2020 any good.
After failing to secure Champions League promotion, manager Unai Emery could do with some funds this summer as he looks to boost his squad for next season, and if Arsenal are able to realize considerably more than the £46.5 million they paid for the Frenchman two years ago, just maybe a move to Barcelona could be on the cards.

Report: Everton handed huge transfer boost following latest development from North London

Report: Everton handed huge transfer boost following latest development from North London – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur have ended their interest in signing Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, and that has inadvertently handed Everton a huge boost in their attempt to sign him on a permanent basis.
The Portuguese international spent 2018-19 on loan at Goodison Park, impressing manager Marco Silva and the fans in the 29 appearances he made, prompting the club to move to secure his signature.
West Ham United also expressed interest after the 25-year-old seamlessly settled into life in the English top-flight in his first season, but the Hammers appear ready to also stop their pursuit.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are looking to turn their attention towards Olympiakos midfielder Kostas Fortounis as Gomes could be too expensive for them, and Everton will now have to move quickly.
Barcelona are demanding between £25 million and £35 million for the former Valencia midfielder who has two years remaining on the contract he signed after joining in the summer of 2016.
Gomes, like Lucas Digne, has since proven he is able to excel in an environment where there is less pressure to deliver, and signing for the Toffees will be beneficial to both club and player.
Breaking into the top six remains the long-term goal at Everton, and signing players like the Portuguese will help push them closer to achieving their aim.

"100%. He has got to start" – Gerrard doesn't want Liverpool star dropped for Spurs clash

"100%. He has got to start" – Gerrard doesn't want Liverpool star dropped for Spurs clash – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Liverpool can end the 2018-19 campaign on a high by beating Tottenham Hotspur to the coveted Champions League prize tomorrow.
The Reds lost the Premier League title narrowly to Manchester City, but will now hope to make up for the disappointment by winning the elite European competition.
Liverpool produced a massive comeback at Anfield in the second-leg of the semifinals to beat Barcelona 4-3 on aggregate after losing 3-0 at Camp Nou, and they will fancy their chances against Spurs, with last season’s heartbreak against Real Madrid expected to spur them on.
Reds legend Steven Gerrard is eagerly looking forward to the clash, and he has told manager Jurgen Klopp he can’t afford to drop skipper Jordan Henderson from the starting XI.
The midfielder started the Barcelona loss from the bench, coming on to replace the injured Naby Keita after 24 minutes.
Henderson started the return-leg, producing a solid performance in the middle of the park, and Gerrard believes he has to start against Tottenham.
“100%. Jordan Henderson has got to start. I’ve always been a fan of Jordan Henderson, I believe he’s a selfless player, I think he does a lot of work for the team that goes unnoticed,” the Rangers boss told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“I know what he’s like on and off the pitch. He puts himself behind everyone else; he’s just that type of person.
“I think he’s more than capable of winning any football match that he’s playing in and I think of late, certainly since he’s been playing a further forward role, he’s taken more responsibility and has been one of Liverpool’s most consistent players.”
Alongside Henderson, James Milner, Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho will all be looking forward to starting in Klopp’s three-man midfield tomorrow, and it will be interesting to see which one of them starts from the bench.
