Report: West Ham player set to leave, the Hammers have accepted a bid for him

Report: West Ham player set to leave, the Hammers have accepted a bid for him – originally posted on Sportslens.com

West Ham have agreed on a deal to sell Reece Oxford this summer.
According to Sky Sports, German club Augsburg will pay £3 million for the talented young defender.
Oxford hasn’t managed to impress Pellegrini at West Ham and he isn’t a regular starter at the club. Moving on makes the perfect sense for him at this stage of his career.
He needs to play regularly in order to fulfill his potential and West Ham won’t be able to provide him with that opportunity.
He has two years left on his deal but the player has not played for West Ham since January 2018.
At one point, Oxford was regarded as one of the best young talents in the country. However, his progress has stalled and he needs to recapture his confidence and form now.
Augsburg are now looking to agree on personal terms with the player.
Oxford joined the German club on loan earlier this year and he managed to impress the manager Martin Schmidt.
He will be looking to continue his development with regular football in the Bundesliga next season.
Oxford knows the Bundesliga well. He has played there with Borussia Monchengladbach as well.

Opinion: Everton offered the chance to sign 26-yr-old international, would be a major gamble

Opinion: Everton offered the chance to sign 26-yr-old international, would be a major gamble – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario is up for grabs this summer.
According to Daily Mail, Everton have been offered the chance to sign the player for a fee of around £15 million. Apparently, Porto and Monaco are interested in the player as well.
Mario is unwanted at Inter Milan and it will be interesting to see where he ends up this summer.
Everton could certainly use an attacking midfielder but the 26-year-old is badly out of form. He was on loan at West Ham last year and he struggled to adapt to the league.
Perhaps a loan deal would benefit the Toffees more. On form, Mario is a very good player but he hasn’t been at his best for a while now. Marco Silva might be able to get the best out of the player but paying £15 million would certainly be a gamble at this moment.
The Portuguese midfielder has been in poor form for Inter Milan this season and he has just 1 goal and 2 assists in Serie A.
Everton should look to bring in someone younger with more potential. Sigurdsson is likely to start as the attacking midfielder next season and getting a young backup makes a lot more sense.

Report: Solskjaer's £40m summer target wants to join Tottenham instead

Report: Solskjaer's £40m summer target wants to join Tottenham instead – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
The talented youngster is expected to leave following Fulham’s relegation and he is valued at around £40 million.
According to London Evening Standard, Manchester United and Tottenham are interested in the player but he prefers to join the Londoners.
Tottenham have Champions League football and that seems to have made a difference. The report adds that the player wants to stay in London as well.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to break the bank for the 18-year-old now.
Sessegnon has just 1 year left on his deal and £40 million is big money for a player who has not proven himself in the Premier League yet.
Levy will be looking to negotiate a lower fee and if the player decides to push for a move, Fulham might have to lower their demands eventually.
Sessegnon is a top quality talent and Pochettino could develop him into a potential star.
The Fulham ace can play as a wing-back as well as a winger. His versatility will be a major bonus for Tottenham next season.

Report: Rangers looking to snap up 6ft 4in target on a bargain this summer

Report: Rangers looking to snap up 6ft 4in target on a bargain this summer – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Rangers are keen on signing the German goalkeeper Jonathan Klinsmann.
According to Sun, the Ibrox outfit are looking to bring in a backup keeper this summer and the 22-year-old has been watched in the recent weeks.
The likes of Foderingham and Alnwick are expected to leave the club and therefore Gerrard needs to bring in another shot-stopper.
The report adds that Klinsmann will be a free agent this summer.
Apparently, the 6ft 4in keeper is frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities at his current club and he will consider leaving in search of regular football.
It is hard to see how he can get that at Rangers next season. McGregor is the number one keeper at the club right now.
However, there is no doubt that he could get his chance soon if he manages to prove himself. McGregor is currently 37 years old and he will be moved on soon.
The deal could prove to be a bargain for Rangers in the long run and it will be interesting to see if Gerrard manages to pull it off.
The Ibrox outfit are bargain hunting right now and they have already snapped up the likes of Davis, Hastie and Jones.
Rangers are thought to be closing in on George Edmundson as well.

Tottenham open talks for 9-goal midfielder, some fans react: 'He's quality', 'Sign him up' – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Tottenham are interested in signing the German midfielder Julian Brandt this summer.
According to SportBild (report translated by Daily Mirror), the Londoners have held talks with the player’s father regarding a summer move.
Brandt is expected to leave Bayer Leverkusen and the likes of Dortmund, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid are thought to be keen as well.
The young midfielder can play as a winger as well as an attacking midfielder. He has 9 goals and 12 assists for Leverkusen this season.
Pochettino could certainly use a player like him if Christian Eriksen decides to move on. The Danish ace has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
Brandt could go on to become Tottenham’s De Bruyne in the long run. The German has all the tools to succeed in the Premier League.
The technically gifted midfielder is more suited to a central role but his versatility will be a bonus for Pochettino if the transfer goes through.
Tottenham would be a step up from Leverkusen and if they can agree on a fee with the German club, the player could be tempted to join them.
Here is how the Tottenham fans have reacted to the report earlier.

He has just a 25m release clause… More like a Tottenham signing
— Vishnu unni (@unni_tweetz) May 15, 2019

He can play wide or cam, hes got 2 years left on his contract and we’re trying to get him for £21 million. He’s only 23 and has got 9 goals and 17 assists this season.
I would be happy if this happened

14-goal ace is Pellegrini's number one summer target, West Ham also keen on 24-yr-old

14-goal ace is Pellegrini's number one summer target, West Ham also keen on 24-yr-old – originally posted on Sportslens.com

West Ham are looking to freshen up their attacking options this summer.
According to London Evening Standard, Maxi Gomez is a target for the Hammers.
The La Liga ace has a £43.5million release clause in his contract at Celta Vigo but he can be signed for half of that if the La Liga side are relegated.
The Uruguayan has scored 14 goals for them this season and he is top quality talent.
As per the report, Pellegrini has made him his number one target this summer.
West Ham need to sign a quality forward in order to push for European football. The likes of Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez are simply not good enough anymore.
With Arnautovic’s future uncertain, the Hammers are looking at the Fulham ace Mitrovic as well.
The Serbian had a very good season in the Premier League his side going down in the end. He could prove to be a solid addition to West Ham as well. The 24-year-old has managed to score 11 goals in the Premier League.
It will be interesting to see if Pellegrini manages to sign the two players in the coming weeks.
West Ham certainly have the resources but they will have to work hard to convince the two players to join them.

Report: United keen on French teenage striker who Real Madrid also want – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to Foot Mercato journalist Dahbia Hattabi, Manchester United have met with the parents of 15-year-old Lyon striker Rayan Cherki about a deal, and the player’s representatives have already visited the Red Devils’ facilities.
Cherki became the youngest player to score in the UEFA Youth League after grabbing a goal in the 4-1 loss to Manchester City last September, and he has already caught the eyes of Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.
The teenager isn’t eligible to sign a professional deal until he turns 16 in August, though, and while Lyon are hoping he signs with them, United are interested in securing his services.

Manchester United have met with 15-year-old Lyon attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki’s parents about a deal & people close to the player have visited the Red Devils’ facilities, according to @DahbiaHattabi.
— Get French Football News (@GFFN) May 15, 2019

Cherki was born and bred in the Lyon to Algerian parents, and has since progressed steadily in the club’s youth academy.
He was linked with a move to Chelsea three years ago, while the likes of AC Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Ajax have all registered interest in the teenage sensation who is widely regarded as one of Ligue 1’s brightest talents.
Should a move to United work out, he will be linking up with the youth team and will hope to catch the eyes of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who hasn’t hesitated to hand youngsters a chance since arriving last December.
The Norwegian fielded 19-year-old Tahith Chong and 17-year-old Mason Greenwood during the second-leg of the Champions League round-of-16 against Paris Saint-Germain, and such belief in youth could convince Cherki.

Report: United and Spurs could battle for £30million-rated Barca man

Report: United and Spurs could battle for £30million-rated Barca man – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to The Sun, English Premier League duo Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur could go head to head for the signature of £30million-rated Barcelona right-back Nelson Semedo this summer.
As reported by Marca, the Portugal international is open to playing in the English top-flight provided he can be assured of regular playing minutes having had to share right-back duties with Sergi Roberto since arriving from Benfica in the summer of 2017.
The Red Devils need a new full-back to replace the departing Antonio Valencia, and Semedo ticks all the boxes.
Spurs are also in search of a right-back with Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier both linked with a summer exit.
The Barcelona man has played 25 La Liga games this term, featuring 10 times in the Champions League – but only half of them were starts, excluding both legs of the semi-finals clash with Liverpool.
Tottenham could pip United to the signature of Semedo as they offer the elite European competition next season, and it will be interesting to see where he chooses to ply his trade next should he indeed leave Camp Nou.
The Portuguese brings enough quality and experience to the table, and securing his signature for £30million will be an absolute steal.
