Report claims Everton are in talks to sign 13-goal ace on a bargain, some fans react – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Everton have been linked with a move for Yacine Brahimi this summer.
According to a report from Goal France (translated by SportWitness), the Toffees are in talks to sign the player.
Apparently, the player is keen on joining English football this summer.
Brahimi is a free agent this summer and he could prove to be a superb bit of bargain for Marco Silva’s side. He scored 13 goals and picked up 4 assists for Porto this past season.
Everton could use some depth in the wide areas and the Algerian could make a difference in the short term.
The 29-year-old will add flair and goals to the side. Also, his arrival would give Silva the chance to rotate his attackers and try out different tactics.
Brahimi can operate on either flank and in behind the striker as well.
It will be interesting to see if the Toffees manage to get this over the line now. Considering the fact that he will be a free agent at the end of this month, the transfer seems like a no-brainer.
Everton certainly have the means to afford his wages and they should do everything in their power to convince him to join the club.
Here is how some of the fans have reacted to the report.

Suspect that ship has long since sailed – if it was ever on the docks in the first place!

Report confirms Newcastle are keen on signing in-demand 14-goal attacker

Report confirms Newcastle are keen on signing in-demand 14-goal attacker – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Newcastle United are interested in signing the Lorient forward Alexis Claude-Maurice this summer.
As per Sky Sports, the French forward is in demand and several other clubs are looking to sign the player as well. Apparently, he prefers a move to Arsenal.
Claude-Maurice scored 14 goals for his side last season and he would be a tremendous addition to Newcastle’s attack.
The Magpies are in desperate need of someone like him. He will also add pace and flair to the side.
It will be interesting to see if Newcastle make their move for him in the coming weeks. If they are truly interested in him, they will have to break the bank and do it quick.
Mike Ashley hasn’t exactly backed Rafa in the market during his time at the club and he needs to perform a complete U-turn for the transfer to happen.
Claude-Maurice won’t come for cheap, especially with so many clubs after him.
Lorient will look to start a bidding war and the Magpies will have to do their best to get him.
With Rondon gone, Newcastle need to improve their attack. Someone like Claude-Maurice would totally transform Benitez’s attack.
Although he is only 21-years-old, he is worth the gamble.

'Would be a belting signing', 'Class act' – Some Everton fans are excited about 27-yr-old target

'Would be a belting signing', 'Class act' – Some Everton fans are excited about 27-yr-old target – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Everton have been linked with a move for Santiago Arias.
As per the Liverpool Echo, the Merseyside outfit want to sign the Atletico Madrid right-back this summer.
Marco Silva’s side are in desperate need of a full back and the Colombian could be ideal.
Seamus Coleman is past his peak and he needs replacing. Arias has proven his quality with his country and despite his poor spell with Atletico, he would a gamble worth taking.
The 27-year-old joined Diego Simeone’s side for a fee of around £11m last summer but he has failed to hold down a regular starting berth for them.
It seems that he is struggling to adapt to La Liga and Atletico’s playing style.
Arias was a quality player for PSV and Marcel Brands signed him for the Dutch club back then. The Everton director remains an admirer of the player and he is keen on a reunion this summer.
It will be interesting to see if the Premier League side makes a move for Arias in the coming weeks.
Atletico Madrid might be looking to cut their losses on the player. As per Echo, they are already looking at Semedo and Pereira as other right back options.
Everton certainly have the means to pull this off.

I’d be very happy with Arias, played a few games for Atletico, Champions League experience. Would be great competition.
Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t he Colombian?
— Edward James (@jamE_JamesYT) June 15, 2019

Coleman needs a challenge and Arias would be perfect, good depth at right back please @Everton

'Possible yes' – 23-yr-old Celtic ace hints that he could leave the club this summer

'Possible yes' – 23-yr-old Celtic ace hints that he could leave the club this summer – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham has revealed that he could leave the club this summer.
Apparently, there is interest from Marseille and Ntcham has claimed that the French outfit are a big club.
Speaking to RMC (via GFFN), he said: “A departure from Celtic is possible yes. For the moment, this is not really a topic of conversation because I am truly focused on national team duty. My first aim is the Euros. I take things as they come… Marseille? Yes, they interest me. They are a big club. Marseille is a very big club, of course.”
Celtic fans will be bitterly disappointed with his comments. He has been a key player for them and losing him would be a major blow.
The Scottish champions need to improve their side in order to sustain their challenge for trophies. Losing someone like Ntcham would weaken them.
It will be interesting to see how Celtic deal with this situation now. They had a similar problem with Dembele not so long ago.
If Ntcham decides to force a move, they will be powerless to stop him. It would be wise to consider a sale then.
Lennon cannot afford to force an unhappy player to stay. It could damage the morale of the group.
Celtic must look to bring in a quality replacement first if they are forced to sell. The 23-year-old is immensely talented and Celtic might find it hard to sign players of his quality.

Report: Gerrard wants 26-yr-old international, Rangers will have to pay £3m

Report: Gerrard wants 26-yr-old international, Rangers will have to pay £3m – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Rangers are interested in signing the Welsh defender James Lawrence this summer.
As per Daily Record, Gerrard wants to improve his defensive options and he has identified the Anderlecht centre back as a target.
The player is likely to cost around £3m and it will be interesting to see if the Ibrox giants can get the deal over the line now.
Lawrence is already a starter for his country and he could be a superb addition to the Rangers defence.
The 26-year-old has considerable experience having played in Holland, Slovakia and Belgium over the years.
It will be interesting to see if he comes in as a backup for Goldson/Katic or a starter.
Steven Gerrard spent around £3m on Goldson last year and if he pays a similar amount for Lawrence, it is highly unlikely that he will sit on the bench next season.
Katic could be the one operating as a squad player if the transfer goes through.
Rangers have already improved their attack with the additions of Jordan Jones and Jake Hastie this summer and the fans will be delighted with his decision to improve the defence now.
The Scottish giants will have to stay more organised at the back in order to match up to Celtic next year.

'Oh Levy! Pay the money' – 22-yr-old target hails 'great team' Spurs, some fans react

'Oh Levy! Pay the money' – 22-yr-old target hails 'great team' Spurs, some fans react – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Tanguy Ndombele has hinted that Tottenham are a big club and he would consider joining them.
The Lyon ace has been linked with Spurs for a while now and the fans will be delighted to hear these comments from the midfielder.
Speaking to Telefoot, he said: “Yes, it’s true Tottenham is a great team, it’s a big club, they finished fourth in their championship, they are Champions League finalists, it’s still a big club like any other. Which player would not be interested in a big club?”.
The 22-year-old is one of the best central midfielders around Europe right now and his addition could take Spurs to the next level.
They have been missing a quality midfielder since the departure of Dembele and the Frenchman would be a cracking addition.
However, Lyon’s reported asking price is quite steep and it will be interesting to see if Daniel Levy is willing to break the bank for him.
If Spurs want to challenge for the top honours, they will have to be brave and secure players of this quality.
Ndombele would add composure, power and drive to the Tottenham midfield. The likes of Winks are very good players but they simply do not have the skillset/physicality to dominate games from the centre of the park.
The Lyon midfielder should be a priority for Pochettino this summer.

'Better than Messi', 'Baller'- Some West Ham fans react to 23-year-old's international performance

'Better than Messi', 'Baller'- Some West Ham fans react to 23-year-old's international performance – originally posted on Sportslens.com

West Ham United secured the signing of Spanish midfielder Pablo Fornals from Villareal for £24 million last week, and the Hammers’ second most expensive signing showed Premier League fans what he is capable of on Sunday night.
The 23-year-old had a 23-minute cameo for Spain under-21 during their 3-1 loss to their Italy counterparts in the Euros under-21.
Fornals completed all of the 15 passes he attempted, while also managing to complete two take-ons, and he will hope he has done enough to start against Belgium on Wednesday.
The midfielder was brilliant for Villareal last term, scoring five goals and assisting six in 48 appearances, and shouldn’t have a problem hitting the ground running at the London Stadium.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini is aiming for a top-seven finish next term after leading West Ham to 10th place last term, and securing quality signings like Fornals this summer will make them better.
Some Hammers fans were impressed by the performance of their new signing against the Italians, and here is how they reacted to his display on Twitter:

Not getting carried away but Fornals is better than Messi

'Please don't sign him', 'No Please'- Some United fans react to links with 292-career-goal star

'Please don't sign him', 'No Please'- Some United fans react to links with 292-career-goal star – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to French publication L’Equipe (via Sport), Manchester United is a possible destination for Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar should he leave Parc des Princes this summer.
The Brazil international moved to France from Barcelona two summers ago for £199 million, but there have been speculations an exit could be on the cards, with a return to Camp Nou often mooted.
Real Madrid have also been routinely linked with Neymar, but it’s believed United could express genuine interest in the 27-year-old if Paul Pogba leaves.
The French midfielder has been linked with Madrid and a return to Juventus – another club reportedly interested in the PSG star – and a summer exit from Old Trafford appears to be on the cards for the World Cup winner after declaring he wants a new challenge elsewhere.
Neymar has been linked with the Red Devils in the past, and the rumours were bound to resurface once he was linked with a PSG exit this summer.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could do with the goal-scoring and game-changing abilities of the former Santos ace who has 292 goals in 467 games for the three sides he has played for, but United will have to part with something close to the world record fee he commanded two summers ago to have a chance of signing him.
Neymar’s controversial figure and recent injury woes make him a great gamble and huge risk of a signing for the Red Devils, though, and understandably, some of the club’s fans don’t want him anywhere near Old Trafford.
Here is how they reacted to the reports on Twitter:

This could be the end of mine and @ManUtd s love affair. Please don’t sign him
— Rick (@RMMaryport) June 17, 2019

'Excellent news and recruitment', 'Great' – Some Arsenal fans love club's latest move

'Excellent news and recruitment', 'Great' – Some Arsenal fans love club's latest move – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Arsenal have announced that under-23 coach Freddie Ljungberg will become the club’s assistant first-team coach as Steve Bould will take over his previous role.
The North London club want to efficiently bring their young and academy players through to the first team, and that has prompted the coaching changes.
Ljungberg arrived at the Emirates in 1998, scoring 72 goals in 328 appearances and winning five trophies.
The 2001-02 Premier League Player of the Season returned to Arsenal in 2016, coaching the club’s under-15’s and after a brief spell as Wolfsburg’s assistant manager, he returned to the club last June, taking charge of the under-23’s.
The Gunners reckon handing youth a chance could be a smart move that can save them millions in the transfer market, and have tasked the Swede with focusing on the young players who are moving into the first team group.
Bould and Ljungberg will determine how players transition between the academy and first-team, and will fully take charge of their roles as from July 1.
A lot of Arsenal fans are pleased with Ljungberg’s promotion to the senior team coaching setup, and here is how some of them reacted to the news on Twitter:

An invincible stepping up as an assistant coach after proving himself with the U23 team. Excellent news and recruitment.

Report: West Ham star wants to join EPL giants as club knock back their opening bid

Report: West Ham star wants to join EPL giants as club knock back their opening bid – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to TF1 (via GFFN), West Ham United have knocked back Manchester United’s opening bid for French centre-back Issa Diop.

Breaking | West Ham have rejected an opening bid from Manchester United for French defender Issa Diop; the player wants to join the Red Devils, but the Hammers intend to keep hold. More follows. (TF1)
— Get French Football News (@GFFN) June 17, 2019

The Red Devils have submitted a £45 million bid including a player in part exchange for the services of the 22-year-old, but West Ham intend to hold on to their man.
However, Diop wants to join the Red Devils, but it remains to be seen if they will return with an improved bid as it is believed the Hammers won’t let him go for anything below £60 million.
The France youth international arrived from Toulouse for £22 million last summer, and he hit the ground running at the London Stadium, featuring in 38 games across all competitions at the end of the campaign.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants a centre-back this summer, but the club have been priced out of a move for top targets like Leicester City’s Harry Maguire, Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Ajax’s Matthijs De Ligt.
The Norwegian believes Diop can be an affordable but quality option instead, and after ex-Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho praised West Ham for signing him after his side’s 1-0 loss at the London Stadium last September, United believe the youngster is a huge talent worth investing in.
