Former Aston Villa player and club legend Ian Taylor has taken to social networking site Twitter to send message to Yannick Bolasie after he scored a brilliant goal in Villa training today.
Villa are doing very well since Dean Smith took charge at the club, and are undefeated in their last five games, winning four of them.
Smith’s side will face West Brom at the Hawthorns on Friday night in the Championship. They have moved to eighth in the Championship table, and a positive result tonight will provide them a massive boost ahead of the busy fixture schedule.
Bolasie, scored a fantastic goal in the training, and Aston Villa have published a video of it on their social media platform Twitter.
Taylor responded to the tweet by saying “Save it for the matches” tagging Bolasie.

Save it for the matches @YannickBolasie!!! 👀🙈😂😂 #UTV https://t.co/pVJyQoelMg

Bolasie joined Villa during the summer transfer window on loan from Everton. He initially struggled to get into the first team squad due to fitness issues, and now he has played well in recent matches.
The 29-year-old DR Congo international has scored two goals and provided three assists in 13 appearances (two starts) for Villa in the Championships.

Newcastle United target will not leave for 'chump change' vows club president

Newcastle United target will not leave for 'chump change' vows club president – originally posted on Sportslens.com

MLS Cup finalists, Atlanta United will not let star midfielder Miguel Almiron leave without recieving a substantial transfer fee.
The Paraguayan has been in sparking form this season. Atlanta qualified for the MLS play-offs by finishing 2nd in the Eastern Conference. Almiron has been a big part of that success, scoring 12-goals, and assisting 13, from 32-appearances. They now face Portland Timbers at the weekend in The MLS Cup Final.
United president Darren Eales is willing to listen to sensible offers, but will certainly not let the midfielder leave for next to nothing. Eales told Sky Sports:

“I have seen some laughable things in the press, clearly we are never going to loan one of our players out and we are certainly not going to let them go for the ‘chump change’ that I have seen in some reports.
“If it’s a proper, serious offer then it’s something we would consider, but not for the laughable figures that I have seen mentioned in the press.”
Premier League interest
Only yesterday, Daily Mail claimed Newcastle had a deal in place to sign the 24-year-old. The report suggests an initial loan would be followed up with a £15m permanent deal.
If The Magpies are serious about a deal, Eales comments suggest they would have to bid above £15m, and make it a permanent deal from the off.
Almiron started his career in his homeland with Cero Porteño. He played a small part as The Peoples Team clinched the Premera division title in 2013.
The Paraguay international then moved to Argentina in 2015 for a spell with Lanus, adding another national title to his honours.  In December 2016 he agreed terms to join Atlanta, with the American club paying a fee of $8m.

West Ham eyeing bargain signing in January, could face competition from Newcastle

West Ham eyeing bargain signing in January, could face competition from Newcastle – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to reports from Calciomercato.it, Premier League trio of West Ham, Newcastle United, and Fulham are all showing interest in signing Cardiff City defender Sol Bamba in the January transfer window.
Bamba joined Cardiff in October 2016 from Leeds United and has established himself as a key player for Neil Warnock’s side. He has scored two goals and provided one assist in 14 Premier League appearances this season.
The 33-year-old has a contract at the club till 2020, but it seems Cardiff would be willing to cash in on him if good offers come their way.
The report claims that Cardiff could want between €3m (£2.67m) and €4m (£.3.56m) for the defender, which could be a bargain deal for any of the aforementioned Premier League clubs.
While there is financial aspect to take care of, it is still hard to see manager Warnock letting Bamba go in January given how crucial he is for Cardiff’s Premier League survival hopes.

Daniel Levy facing huge battle over Tottenham man with rival club eyeing big money move

Daniel Levy facing huge battle over Tottenham man with rival club eyeing big money move – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to reports from The Sun, Manchester United are plotting an audacious move for Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The report claims that United are ready to pay £40 million to secure the Argentine’s services next summer.
The Sun adds that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is facing a huge battle to keep hold of Pochettino amid interest from both United and Real Madrid.
Pochettino has worked wonders with Spurs since he took charge at the club in 2014 from Southampton. He has not only improved the quality of the squad, but over the years, has made them genuine Premier League title contenders.
However, The Sun claims that the former Saints boss is frustrated with Tottenham’s lack of investment in the squad after Spurs failed to sign a single player during the summer transfer window.
Tottenham fans should not worry too much about the report. Spurs are in good position in the Premier League and are one of the title challengers this season.
They could also progress to the last 16 of the Champions League after earning back to back victories. It will need a lot of money and convincing to lure Pochettino away from Spurs next summer.

Just what Pellegrini needs: £70k-per-week ace would be perfect for West Ham

Just what Pellegrini needs: £70k-per-week ace would be perfect for West Ham – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Nathaniel Clyne has dropped down the pecking order at the club behind Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Liverpool are reportedly looking to send him out on loan.
Last month, Wales Online reported that Jurgen Klopp is happy to loan Clyne out in the January transfer window. Cardiff City have expressed their interest, while the likes of Leicester City and Fulham are also linked with a potential move.
Should West Ham join the race for the Liverpool right-back?
He would be more than welcome at the London Stadium. Fast, experienced, aggressive, and attacking minded defender, Clyne would be a superb addition to the side, if only on a short term basis.
Clyne, who is on £70k-per-week wage at Liverpool, is yet to play in the Premier League this season.
The England international needs to get his career back on track after a major back injury and West Ham could be an ideal club for him.
Pablo Zabaleta is entering the final few months of his contract, and summer signing Ryan Fredericks is set for a long spell on the sidelines.
In such a scenario, a new right-back would be exactly what Manuel Pellegrini needs, even if on a short term basis. And Clyne fits the bill perfectly.

Villa may have received a huge transfer boost about signing 61-cap international

Villa may have received a huge transfer boost about signing 61-cap international – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has been linked with a return to Villa Park, and that possibility cannot be completely ruled out as yet.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, Serie A giants AC Milan expressed their interest in signing the 32-year-old Chelsea defender in January. The Chelsea skipper has dropped down the pecking order at the club, and has managed only 21 minutes of Premier League action all season.
However, Calciomercato reports that Cahill is unsure over a move abroad which is surely a major transfer boost for Villa ahead of the January transfer window.
The 61-cap England international is a vastly experienced defender, and he would be a superb addition for Dean Smith’s side.
Villa are reportedly keen to sign Cahill who left the boyhood club to join Bolton Wanderers in January 2008. With Cahill not sure over a potential move abroad, Villa now have the upper hand in the race.
It remains to be seen where Cahill ends up, but surely he needs to move on to get regular games under his belt.

Leeds keen on signing 27-year-old ace, he would be a superb addition for Bielsa

Leeds keen on signing 27-year-old ace, he would be a superb addition for Bielsa – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to Le Buteur, Leeds United are keen on signing Al Sadd striker Baghdad Bounedjah and are preparing a bid for him during the January transfer window.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has said that he doesn’t expect to sign anyone in the transfer window. He wants players who can improve the side considerably but feels they would be too expensive.
However, the report claims that the Yorkshire club have reignited their interest in the 27-year-old. Leeds wanted to sign him in the summer transfer window, but were put off by Al Sadd’s £13.4million valuation.
Leeds are looking to re-enter the race for him after the sensational goal scoring exploits. His goal record is just unbelievable but whether he can replicate that form in the Championship is another question.
He has scored 55 times this year, including  26 goals in his last 13 league matches. If he can replicate his goal scoring form in England, he would be worth every penny of his high price tag.

Pundit gives verdict on West Brom vs Aston Villa, fancies yet more goals

Pundit gives verdict on West Brom vs Aston Villa, fancies yet more goals – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Aston Villa visit West Browmich Albion on Friday hoping to jump into the top six in the Championship.
Villa have won four and drawn one of their last five league games and scored 17 goals in the process to spark talk of a sustained promotion bid. The Baggies are third in the table after conceding a late goal to draw 1-1 with Brentford during the week.
Sky Sports‘ pundit David Prutton has been impressed with Villa in recent weeks, but he has tipped West Brom to hold them to a 2-2 draw at the Hawthorns (11/1 with Sky Bet).
“West Brom won’t believe they didn’t beat Brentford on Monday night, especially with the amount of chances they managed to miss in the first half,” he said.
“Aston Villa can’t stop scoring at the moment and Tammy Abraham is absolutely flying up front.
“It’s not easy to score once against Middlesbrough and they put three past them last Saturday.
“You feel there should be a fair few goals in this one, but I can’t split the two teams. Score draw.”
The two sides last met in the Premier League during the 2015/16 season, with Albion picking up four points from the two meetings.
West Brom are priced at 5/4 to win the game, with Villa on offer at 19/10 and the draw available at 13/5.

Pundit gives verdict on Leeds vs QPR, eyes pre-Christmas bookie-basher

Pundit gives verdict on Leeds vs QPR, eyes pre-Christmas bookie-basher – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Leeds United host Queens Park Rangers on Saturday aiming to keep up the pressure at the top of the Championship table.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side head into the game second in the standings, one point behind leaders Norwich City.
They have won their last three games without conceding a goal and Sky Sports‘ pundit David Prutton believes they will extend that run courtesy of a 2-0 victory this weekend (7/1 with Sky Bet).
“Leeds haven’t been quite as convincing lately as they were earlier on in the season, but they are still winning and are right up in the thick of things at the top,” he said.
“QPR will have been really disappointed to lose at home to a struggling Hull side, because those are the kinds of games you need to win if you want to make any impression on the top six. This should be a comfortable enough win for Leeds.”
Leeds did the double over QPR last season, winning 3-1 away from home and 2-0 at Elland Road.
The home side are priced at 4/6 to win the game, with QPR on offer at 4/1 and the draw available at 29/10.

According to reports from Macedonian outlet Skopje24, Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in signing Fenerbahce midfielder Elif Elmas.

Elmas is a holding midfielder who has an uncanny knack of chipping in with goals from time to time. He is very good with his passing and is known for his excellent work rate. He scored eight goals and created further eight in 46 games for Rabotnicki.
The report claims that La Liga giants Real Madrid are equally interested in him. In fact, the reigning European champions have submitted an £18m bid for his services already.
Los Blancos tabled an offer worth £4.5million up front, while the rest £13.5million would be paid after Elmas made his first Real appearance.
With Moussa Dembele’s future at the club still in question, Spurs need a central midfielder. However, it seems Madrid have stolen a march on their rivals.
