Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos could be heading towards the Ibrox exit door this summer.
The Gers boss Steven Gerrard has stated recently that the Scottish Premiership side are keen to keep the Colombian international with them this summer, but Rangers could be tempted to offload him should they receive a handsome fee.
According to the Daily Record, the Rangers striker is wanted by Premier League clubs West Ham and Crystal Palace.
Morelos was in tremendous form for the Ibrox club last season, scoring 30 goals in 48 games. However, he came under severe criticism for his indiscipline, as he picked up 18 yellow cards and five reds.
Both Palace and West Ham are looking to bolster their strike department this summer, and have targeted Morelos as a potential option.
The 23-year-old is a fantastic young talent but he needs to sort out his disciplinary issues if he wants to succeed in the top tier of English football.
West Ham have seen three strikers depart this summer and the Hammers badly need a new striker. Likewise, Palace are looking to add a quality forward after seeing Michy Batshuayi’s loan spell come to an end.
Rangers should demand a high transfer fee for the striker if either of the clubs make any formal approach.

Chris Sutton reacts as Steve Bruce becomes Newcastle United’s head coach

Chris Sutton reacts as Steve Bruce becomes Newcastle United’s head coach – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Newcastle United have confirmed the appointment of Steve Bruce as the club’s new head coach on a three-year deal.
The former Sheffield Wednesday boss replaces Rafa Benitez at Saint James’ Park, and he becomes the club’s 10th manager since Mike Ashley became owner.
The 58-year-old has always dreamed of managing the club he supported as a kid, and he finally gets the chance to after being in charge of nine clubs and spending 21 years in management.
Popular pundit Chris Sutton has reacted on Twitter to Bruce’s appointment as the man to take charge of Newcastle next thus:

Good luck to Steve Bruce at Newcastle. A superb man manager who’s returning to the club he loves… let’s hope he gets money to spend to kick the club on… https://t.co/GhVRSuIn3Y
— Chris Sutton (@chris_sutton73) July 17, 2019

Bruce is expected to meet the Newcastle squad after today’s Premier League Asia Trophy match against Wolves.
His appointment is an unpopular one with the fans, largely because of his past affiliation with Sunderland, and it will be interesting to see if he can win them over, and more importantly, keep the Magpies in the Premier League next season.

Report: European giants confident of beating Man Utd to the signing of Everton star

Report: European giants confident of beating Man Utd to the signing of Everton star – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to Le Parisien (via GFFN), Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye is looking increasingly likely to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer after a transfer move fell through in January.
Manchester United and other suitors are also in the race for the signature of the 29-year-old, but the European giants are confident of beating competition to his services.
Gueye has been terrific for Senegal at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, and is looking to help them to victory against Algeria in Friday’s final.
PSG have since revived their interest and are finally ready to thrash out a deal with Everton having being in negotiations with them, and the midfielder super motivated to make the move.
Gueye will decide on his future next week, and has been handed a huge boost after the Goodison Park outfit told him that they will not prevent his departure at all costs.
If United can pip them to his signing remains to be seen, though, and the future of the want-away Paul Pogba at Old Trafford will likely have a huge say on their final decision.
The chance to play regular Champions League football and silverware will most likely see the Everton star choose PSG ahead of the Red Devils, though, and manager Marco Silva has to identify a replacement capable of filling Gueye’s shoes with a summer exit seemingly on the cards.

Opinion: Spurs might have just boosted Man Utd's top-four chances after latest decision

Opinion: Spurs might have just boosted Man Utd's top-four chances after latest decision – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur are ready to listen to offers for left-back Danny Rose after leaving him out of their pre-season tour.
The 29-year-old was once a target for Manchester United, and while it seems that is no longer a possibility given Luke Shaw’s form last season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side should still push for a move, as adding such an experienced player would boost their top-four chances next term.
Rose is arguably a better left-back than the Red Devils’ current first choice, but such is his talent on the ball that he can also be deployed further up the pitch and in the middle of the park.
Solskjaer wants to add young players to his squad this summer, but securing the signature of the England international, who is available for £25 million, will be a huge steal and good business.
The Tottenham star brings huge quality to the table, and United could do with such addition during such a transitional period, and they should jump at the chance to sign him.
On his day, Rose has shown how superb and unplayable he can be, and he will even have extra motivation to even prove himself all over again if Spurs decide to sell him this summer.
It remains to be seen if Mauricio Pochettino’s side would be making a huge mistake taking such a decision, but United can hugely benefit from it and it definitely can boost their top-four chances next term and going forward.

Villa must act quickly as club in talks over new deal for £20m player

Villa must act quickly as club in talks over new deal for £20m player – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Aston Villa have been very busy this summer and have already spent £100million on new players.
However, Villa boss Dean Smith is keen to bolster certain areas of the pitch, and there could be more arrivals before the transfer window closes.
Villa have been heavily linked with a move for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips this summer.
Last month Teamtalk reported that the Villa boss is looking to bring him to Villa Park. Villa are prepared to go as high as £25 million to secure his signature.
The 23-year-old took his game to a whole new level under Marcelo Bielsa last season. He made 44 Championship appearances, scoring one goal and providing three assists for the Whites.
However, Leeds are reluctant to let him go, and they are preparing to offer him a new lucrative contract.
According to reports from BBC, Leeds are in talks with Phillips over a new deal.
The club chief executive Angus Kinnear has confirmed that the club is determined to keep Phillips, and they are in talks over a new contract.
“We want him to play in the Premier League for Leeds United,” Kinnear said.
“We are talking about a new contract. We want to keep all our best players and Kalvin is part of the plan.”
The report, however, claims that Leeds value him at £20 million. Surely, Villa must act quickly and submit a tempting offer to lure him away from Elland Road.

Opinion: Gerrard will pull off a masterstroke if Rangers can sign 10-cap int'l forward

Opinion: Gerrard will pull off a masterstroke if Rangers can sign 10-cap int'l forward – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Glasgow Rangers have been active in the summer transfer and Steven Gerrard should look to bring in Ben Woodburn to the Ibrox club this summer.
The Gers have been heavily linked with a move for Ryan Kent this summer, but they are finding difficulty in securing a temporary deal for him.
Gerrard must turn his attention to another prodigiously gifted Liverpool youngster — Woodburn — who could be allowed to leave the club on loan this summer.
According to Wales Online, Hull City have enquired about the possibility of loaning the Liverpool youngster.
The 19-year-old is a highly rated young forward but his career seems to have stalled recently after a promising start for club and country.
The youngster has already made 10 appearances for the Wales national team, and Gerrard must look to revive his career and bring the best out of him.
Liverpool have high hopes on Woodburn and Jurgen Klopp would be happy to see him progress under the tutelage of Gerrard.
Rangers could strike a masterstroke deal here if they move quickly and secure his signing on loan.

Opinion: Lampard has just handed Villa huge two-in-one transfer boost

Opinion: Lampard has just handed Villa huge two-in-one transfer boost – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has handed Aston Villa a huge transfer boost after he gave the green light for Welsh youngster Ethan Ampadu to leave the club on loan this summer.
The 18-year-old was not on the plane for Chelsea’s pre-season tour to Japan, and having been linked with him earlier during this transfer window, manager Dean Smith should revive Villa’s interest in him.
The Villa Park outfit are still in the market for a defensive midfielder, and Ampadu isn’t only a quality one, the teenage sensation is also a good central defender.
Having missed out on Manchester United’s Axel Tuanzebe, the Chelsea teenager could help Smith fill up a hole in defence.
Ampadu was on Villa’s radar last summer, but Maurizio Sarri insisted he wanted him as part of his plans.
However, he is now finally available on loan, and the chance to work with Blues legend John Terry would excite the youngster.
Wales manager Ryan Giggs rates Ampadu so highly, and he featured regularly for his country over the last year.
The Welshman is composed on the ball, has a superb range of passing and is also a combative presence – qualities that fit Villa’s style of play to a tee.
It’s a no brainer, and Smith shouldn’t let the chance slip through his fingers as Lampard has just handed him a huge two-in-one transfer boost.

Opinion: Wolves should challenge PL rival to sign 10-goal Leeds star, he would be a superb addition

Opinion: Wolves should challenge PL rival to sign 10-goal Leeds star, he would be a superb addition – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to a recent report from The Sun, Premier League outfit Burnley are heavily interested in signing Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich in the summer.
The 29-year-old struggled in his first season at Elland Road, but he was simply superb during the last campaign. He was one of the key players in Marcelo Bielsa’s system, and played 48 matches in the Championship.
Klich scored 10 goals and contributed nine assists in the Championship last season. He scored some incredible goals last season, and replacing him won’t be easy.
Wolves should join Burnley in the race to sign Klich this summer.
Nuno Espirito Santo has recently addressed that he needs to add more players to his ranks, and Klich could be a superb addition.
Wolves do have depth in the midfield but Nuno certainly needs someone who can score and provide assists from the middle of the park as well.
While playing in the Premier League is a different ball game altogether but Klich has the ability to step up. Klich was one of Bielsa’s greatest revelations last season, and Wolves can provide him with the platform to take his game to the next level.

Report shares how 29y/o reacted to being left out of Tottenham's pre-season squad

Report shares how 29y/o reacted to being left out of Tottenham's pre-season squad – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to The Telegraph, England international left-back Danny Rose will not travel with the Tottenham Hotspur squad for the club’s pre-season tour in Asia.
The 29-year-old will stay behind in England with a view to him being sold, and he has reacted very professionally to manager Mauricio Pochettino’s decision as there has been no falling out between the player and club.
Rose, who is valued at around £25 million and still has two years left on his current contract, has been granted a longer break than many of his England international team-mates, and will be fully part of first team squad for the start of next season if acceptable offers don’t come in for him.
The Englishman is still very much on top of his game, but he remains open to leaving Tottenham, although it remains to be seen if any of the trio – Manchester United, Manchester City and Everton – that once expressed interest in his services will return.
Spurs are lining up potential replacements despite already having Ben Davies available, and it will be interesting to see which club will snap Rose up.
The former Leeds United full-back will most likely not be short of suitors following the latest development, and big clubs outside England could also come calling after Napoli moved to sign right-back Kieran Trippier.

14 goals last season: Report claims 24-yr-old could join Wolves this summer

14 goals last season: Report claims 24-yr-old could join Wolves this summer – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Wolves are expected to sign the Napoli forward Carlos Vinicius.
According to a report from Calciomercato (translated by Birmingham Mail), the 24-year-old is not a key player for Napoli and he will be on the move this summer.
Wolves could certainly use some depth in attack and Vinicius would be the ideal back up to Jimenez next season.
The player joined Napoli last summer but he is yet to make an appearance for them. It seems that the Italian club are not too keen on holding on to him.
The striker spent the last season on loan at Rio Ave and Monaco. He managed to make an impression with them and it will be interesting to see how he adapts to English football once the move goes through.
Vinicius managed to score 14 goals (12 for Rio Ave and 2 for Monaco) in all competitions last season.
Nuno might be able to help him rediscover his confidence at Wolves. The move makes sense for the player and it shouldn’t be too hard convincing him.
The report adds that he could be the next player to wear the Wolves shirt this summer.
It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.
