Aleksandar Mitrovic is on fire now and some Newcastle United fans want him back at the club.
The 23-year-old wasn’t given proper chance by Rafael Benitez and the club sold him in the summer to Fulham for a fee in the region of £27million.
He has been in excellent form for newly-promoted Fulham this season and has scored four Premier League goals in four matches already.
He has carried the good form for his country as well and scored an exquisite brace for Serbia but could not help his country overcome Romania as the two sides drew 2-2.
Many Newcastle fans are asking on social networking site Twitter why the club decided to sell the former Anderlecht striker without giving him a proper chance.
While the Magpies fans adore Benitez and trust their manager, there are some Newcastle fans who believe the Spaniard got it wrong with this transfer decision.
There are some Newcastle fans who want the striker back at the club. Here are some of the selected tweets:

So, this Mitrovic fellow, he may be worth a look in January. #nufc

When will certain Newcastle fans admit that both they and rafa got it wrong with mitrovic??
The lad clearly had talent but was only given 10 minute run outs here and there under rafa.
Scoring for fun since he left #NUFC #mitro

23-year-old midfielder makes £20m Celtic transfer decision claim

23-year-old midfielder makes £20m Celtic transfer decision claim – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Udinese midfielder Seko Fofana has claimed that Celtic should have demanded more for Moussa Dembele.
Celtic sold Dembele to Olympique Lyonnais very late in the transfer window for a fee reported to be around £20 million. The Frenchman was a star player for the Bhoys and Celtic did their best to extract the best possible transfer fee for him.
Brendan Rodgers tried to keep hold of his star player, but he is now left with Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths as first team strikers.
Fofana, a former teammate of Dembele, believes that the Hoops should have demanded at least twice the money for the French striker.
The Ivory Coast international has hailed Dembele as a “complete attacker”, and says Celtic have made a mistake in selling him at a reasonable price.
“I am surprised that clubs didn’t come to take him before,” Fofana told L’Equipe.
“He is a complete attacker, who can use his head, left foot, right foot and also defend. His delivery, he’s clean technically, he is a big, strong guy.
“I was told that he cost Lyon was £20m, but Moussa is worth at least double.”
Dembele is no doubt a very good player but Celtic were in no position to demand anywhere near £40 million for him.
The market is inflated, and many clubs often pay crazy money to sign players. In case of Dembele, the Bhoys did extremely well to get £20 million out of his sale.
Rodgers did the best thing by not investing heavily straightaway. The money could be used efficiently in the upcoming transfer windows.

Pundit makes a bold claim on 'fabulous' Celtic ace, up to him to justify record transfer

Pundit makes a bold claim on 'fabulous' Celtic ace, up to him to justify record transfer – originally posted on Sportslens.com

John Hartson has told The Evening Times that Odsonne Edouard should lead Celtic’s attack following Moussa Dembele’s departure.
Dembele’s last minute exit to Lyon has left the club lacking in firepower up front, but Hartson believes Celtic have players who can fill the void.
Brendan Rodgers has two main strikers now – Leigh Griffiths and the club-record signing Edouard – and he has a big decision to make.
Hartson says Edouard should be trusted to lead the line. He adds that the former Paris Saint-Germain player has the physicality and pace to shine at this level.
Furthermore, he makes a bold claim that Edouard will prove his worth this season.
He said: “For now I think the guy whom the club shelled out the big money for is the game that we will see starting the games.
“I like Edouard. I think he brings a physicality and his touch and pace are fabulous assets. He did so well in the build up to the goal against Rangers last Sunday and I think over the course of the season he’ll prove his worth to the team.”
With Dembele gone, it is up to the player now to take on the responsibility and go on a scoring run. Celtic have shown faith in him by paying big money, and it is up to him to justify the price tag.
He has all the talent to be a success at Parkhead. Griffiths will also get his chance, and Rodgers can rotate the two strikers to add competition to the side.

'Criminal', 'Make it happen': Some Newcastle fans react to 22-year-old winger's latest tweet

'Criminal', 'Make it happen': Some Newcastle fans react to 22-year-old winger's latest tweet – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Rolando Aarons took to social networking site Twitter to express his delight after joining Slovan Liberec on loan from Newcastle United.
The 22-year-old will join the Czech club on loan till January.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Hellas Verona in Italy, and is not in Rafael Benitez’s first team plans.
He has been on Newcastle’s book since 2012, but has made only a handful of first-team appearances for the Magpies.
With no assurance of regular games, a move away from St James’ Park is the best possible solution for all parties involved.
He took to Twitter to express his delight after securing the move, and Newcastle fans have responded to his post, wishing him well.

The journey continues, very excited to be representing @fcslovanliberec for the next 6 months. Can’t wait to express myself again and help the team! pic.twitter.com/31U5t7DPKc

Many Newcastle fans are not happy to see another youngster leaving the club without getting a fair chance to impress.
It remains to be seen how Aarons performs at his new club, and hopefully he can return with stats that impresses Benitez.
Here are some of the best reactions from the Newcastle fans on Twitter:

Prove Benitez is wrong.
Criminal that yet another talented youngster not given a fair chance.

'Pretty obvious': Some fans compare Celtic star with £50k-per-week Liverpool player on Twitter

'Pretty obvious': Some fans compare Celtic star with £50k-per-week Liverpool player on Twitter – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Football fans love to compare between players. And after Scotland’s 2-0 win over Albania, some fans took to social networking site Twitter to discuss who is better between Andy Robertson and Kieran Tierney.
Robertson, who is reportedly on £50k-per-week wages at Liverpool, has established himself as a key player for Jurgen Klopp. Initially, he struggled for regular games, but gradually developed into an important player for the side.
He is further improving and is one of the first names on the team-sheet. Defensively solid, and equally dangerous going forward, Robertson’s main weapon lies in his crossing and ball distribution from the flanks.
On the other hand, Tierney is arguably the best left-back in the Scottish Premier League. He is head and shoulders above the rest, and the best thing about his game is his consistency.
He is physically very fit, and always gives his best on the pitch. His positional sense is brilliant and could go on to become one of the world’s best in a few years’ time.
Here are some of the best tweets from football fans about them:

Kieran Tierney is by far the best left back in Scotland, and is absolutely different class most weekends but he’s not better than Andy Robertson
— leigh. (@leighferrol) September 11, 2018

Robertson is no Kieran Tierney that’s for sure!
— Alex McGeorge (@Alexmcgeorge) September 11, 2018

Kieran Tierney > Andy Robertson
— Robbo (@Scott9Robertson) September 10, 2018

Kieran Tierney and Andy Robertson on the left hand side for Scotland are class👌👍
— Darren Burns (@darrenburns86) September 10, 2018

With the exception of annual salary, Andy Robertson is inferior to Kieran Tierney in every way.
— QuickBen67 (@GazMac77) September 10, 2018

Pretty Obvious to me that Kieran Tierney is a far better left back/Wing Back than Robertson…..

Pochettino identifies 28-yr-old's replacement, some Spurs fans already excited

Pochettino identifies 28-yr-old's replacement, some Spurs fans already excited – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Tottenham are interested in signing the Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell.
According to The Telegraph, any potential move will have to wait until next summer.
The Leicester City left-back has been very impressive so far this season and it is no surprise that the top clubs are keeping an eye on him.
The young full-back has two years left on his contract and an offer from Tottenham might just tempt him.
Mauricio Pochettino needs to sign a left back because of the uncertainties surrounding Danny Rose’s future at the club.
Chilwell is a lot more talented than Ben Davies and he could develop into a star under the management of Pochettino. The Spurs boss has done well to nurture young talents over the years.
Leicester City will not want to lose a key player even if it is at the end of this season. Spurs might need to pay a premium if they want the player.
There is no doubt that he could be the perfect replacement for Danny Rose and Levy must do everything in his power to complete the deal.
Tottenham fans are keen on a move for the young defender as well. Here is how they reacted to the news on Twitter.

'That's not true': Spurs fans will simply love 83-cap international's comments on his future

'That's not true': Spurs fans will simply love 83-cap international's comments on his future – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld has said that he never wanted to leave the club during the summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United. However, Spurs resisted all temptations thrown at them and in the end failed to agree to a deal for the player.
Alderweireld, who has 83 caps for his country, has less than a year remaining on his current contract, with an option for a one-year extension that includes a £25m release clause, according to Sky Sports.
The Spurs defender has now claimed that whatever was said in the press about him wanting to leave the club was false. He added that it was a tough battle for him to get into the team and that he is happy to be back in the first team at Spurs.
“Everyone was saying everywhere that I absolutely wanted to leave Tottenham,” Alderweireld said, as quoted by Sky Sports.
“That’s not true. This summer, I quickly understood Tottenham wanted to keep me. So, I had to battle to get my place back in the team. To be in the first team again is a victory for me.
“I just try to help Tottenham as best I can with my qualities. Regarding my future, everything that was said in the press was not right all the time.”
Alderweireld is a world class defender and with him in the side Spurs are a different force altogether. He was an unused substitute in Tottenham’s opening-day victory over Newcastle, but has featured in all the three Premier League games after that.
The Belgium international is loved by the Spurs fans, and his comments will add further excitement among the supporter groups. They will be hoping for him to sign a new deal quickly.

Sunderland pay “galling” £6.4m for absent duo, owner could sack them for ‘gross misconduct’

Sunderland pay “galling” £6.4m for absent duo, owner could sack them for ‘gross misconduct’ – originally posted on Sportslens.com

According to The Sun, Sunderland have been forced to pay £6.4m for Papy Djilobodji and Didier Ndong, two players who have gone AWOL this season. The 29-year-old defender and 24-year-old midfielder both failed to return to training with Sunderland in the summer and could find themselves sacked for ‘gross misconduct’ by owner Stewart Donald.
Djilobodji was signed by the Black Cats from Chelsea for more than £8m in 2016 and has gone on to make 24 appearances in all competitions. He spent last season on loan with French side Dijon but hasn’t reported for training since. Ndong, signed from Lorient for around £18m in 2016, spent last season on loan with Watford and also went AWOL after the temporary move ended.
In August, Sunderland paid Chelsea a £3.7m installment for Djilobodji and have to pay Lorient £2.7m for Ndong. On the Roker Rapport Podcast, Donald admitted it was “galling” to write the cheques for two players who have no intention of returning. Donald also said Djilobodji would forgo his wages to stay AWOL, but reports in France say the player disagrees with the owner’s story.
The pair are expected to be released in some form this season, but a transfer to another club was proving hard to pull off for the League One outfit.

Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford will be out for at least four months, the club has confirmed on their website and official twitter handle.

— Leeds United (@LUFC) September 11, 2018

Bamford, who joined from Middlesbrough for a massive £7 million fee, is yet to start in a Championship game under Marcelo Bielsa. And his latest injury will come as a huge blow for the club.
The 25-year-old was involved in Friday’s 5-0 win over Bristol City and he limped out of the game before half-time.
Bamford has undergone a series of scans in the past 72 hours, and the club has now confirmed that he will be out for a while.
The former Chelsea striker has impressed every time when called upon from the bench, and his injury leaves Bielsa without an experienced alternative to Kemar Roofe upfront.
Leeds fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to express their reaction. Here are some of the best tweets:

Shocking decision putting a 7mill player in the U23’s regardless of how much game time he’s had. But then again, this injury could have happened in training. Just hope Roofe holds up
— Matt Hill (@MattyHill83) September 11, 2018

Every respect for Bielsa’s “small squad” philosophy, but fear it’s the one area where he might come unstuck. We know this league – it’s the same every year. Feels reckless not to have signed more back-up. And it’s only September ….

Free agent list or we gunna pin our hopes on Roberts Edmondson and Dalby who all are inexperienced?

Most passes and most dribbles – 2 Chelsea stars dominate the Premier League

Most passes and most dribbles – 2 Chelsea stars dominate the Premier League – originally posted on Sportslens.com

Chelsea have enjoyed a fantastic start to the new season under new manager Maurizio Sarri. The Blues are second in the Premier League table with 12 points from four games, having beaten Huddersfield Town (3-0), Arsenal (3-2), Newcastle United (2-1) and Bournemouth (2-0), and a number of players have played their part in their early success.
Jorginho, signed from Napoli this summer, has impressed from the off at Chelsea. He’s operated at the heart of the midfield, pulling the strings in possession and thwarting attacks from the opposition. No player in the Premier League has made more short passes than Jorginho (382) this season, and no player averages more-per-game (104.3).
His teammate Eden Hazard has also dominated early into the new campaign. The Belgian international has made more successful dribbles (14) than any other player and has contributed four goals in as many Premier League appearances. Manchester City were desperate for Jorginho this summer and Real Madrid were heavily-linked with Hazard. Their loss is Chelsea’s gain.
The Londoners’ 100% record can, in part, be attributed to the form of Jorginho and Hazard, so Chelsea certainly deserve props for getting their act together in time to start the new season strongly. Whether or not Chelsea can maintain such form as the campaign progresses remains to be seen, however.
